Proved too hard to hold a constant speed at the high revs... (taken on a lonely country road)

! light came on just before (wiper fluid, because, of course).

As I commented in early related posts, I really need to secure that climate-controlled hangar...

I’ve decided for shots like this, I’ll have to Mr Regular it and strap a Go Pro to my head if I want high revs.

I used to have a friend who’s tach, like most peoples has never seen the final 3rd of the range. I mashed it on an on ramp in my E90 reving all the way out through 3rd. He was convinced that I had done irreparable damage. In reality we all got a treat for our ears and I used about half a quart of oil.

It sure is. I didn’t really like driving that car slow, and fast in that car is lose your license territory for most of the areas where I drive. That cars whole ownership could be summed up like this:

Tripper: TDs E90M3...Blasts onto an on-ramp

Tripper: Buys M3

Tripper: Blasts onto an on-ramp

M3: Give me money, 10w60, and lets blast onto some on-ramps

M3: Limp mode, JK, wait no yea limp mode. I think yeah.. no. no. no no no no no nononono nono no no no no no no no nobody nobody.....

Tripper: Blasts onto an on-ramp

Tripper’s Dad : Blasts onto an on-ramp

Tripper’s Best Friend : Blasts onto an on-ramp

I’m not 100% on that last one, but I think it’s a safe bet.
